Sacred Heart Convent School, Bhattian (Ludhiana) observed Sugar Day on 9th September with the aim of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of excessive sugar intake. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Sister Anu during the morning assembly.
Students presented creative Sugar Boards highlighting the high sugar content found in common snacks and drinks. The boards were displayed on all floors of the school to remind students how too much sugar can lead to serious health issues such as obesity, tooth decay, diabetes, and lack of concentration.
During the assembly, students confidently explained why reducing sugar is important for a healthy lifestyle and encouraged their peers to choose nutritious foods over sugary items.
Principal Sister Anu appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and urged everyone to adopt mindful eating habits. The activity successfully created awareness and inspired students to make healthier choices in their daily lives.
